Looking for pleasant accommodation in Limone sul Garda? The Hotel Sogno del Benaco 4* impressed us so much during our June weekend that I will write a separate recommendation in a separate post.

Limone sul Garda is a small but picturesque town on the northwestern shore of Lake Lago di Garda, which, despite its growing popularity, still retains its traditional character. Narrow streets are lined with stone houses with shutters, behind which are hidden cafes, shops with local (mainly lemon) products and restaurants with terraces overlooking the lake.
The dominant feature of the place are the old lemon gardens, reminiscent of the time when lemon growing was the main source of livelihood. Limone is an ideal base for hiking trips to the surrounding mountains, boat trips on the lake and quiet evenings with a glass of local wine. Although crowds of tourists head here every day, in the morning and evening the city has its authentic, peaceful atmosphere, which you can easily fall in love with, at any time of the year.
Accommodation in Limone sul Garda
Accommodation in Limone sul Garda is varied and will satisfy both undemanding holidaymakers, as well as those looking for higher comfort. You will find smaller family-run guesthouses hidden in the historic center, hotels with swimming pools and panoramic views of the lake, as well as apartments for those who want more privacy and the possibility of self-catering.
Prices are higher in high season, but often correspond to the quality of services and the unique location. Many accommodations offer terraces or balconies, from where you can watch the morning calm of Lake Garda or the evening sunsets, which are especially fabulous here. If you are planning a trip in the summer, it is worth booking in advance, as popular capacities are quickly filled.

We booked a weekend here in June at the last minute, for 3 adults, and even so it took me a while to find suitable accommodation for us. We were so satisfied with the selection that I thought I would give you an extra recommendation for this hotel in a separate post.
Hotel Sogno del Benaco 4* / Accommodation in Limone sul Garda
Hotel Sogno del Benaco is, in my opinion, one of the best accommodations in Limone sul Garda. It is strategically located in a bend, on a hill by the road towards the center of Limone. It is only a few steps from the beautiful local beach, where admission is free and you can also use its spacious garden with sunbeds for relaxing and sunbathing.
I also chose the hotel with regard to the free parking directly at the hotel. Parking is behind a barrier, and during our weekend there was no problem finding a place. If the capacities are full, or if you would like to park your car in covered garages, it is possible to pay extra and park a few hundred meters further in the city garage.

Limone sul Garda – sunbathing garden at our hotel, a few meters from the beach
The hotel offers several types of rooms. We were looking for sufficiently large accommodation for 3 adults with a classic third bed, not a sofa bed. Our requirement was met and we were also assigned a room with a nice side view of Lake Garda and the mountains. I already consider high-quality cosmetics in the bathroom as a matter of course in a 4* hotel and it did not disappoint.
You can expect a traditional Italian breakfast – so you won’t leave the Sogno del Benaco hotel hungry for a trip! My sister and I also appreciated the large selection at the gluten-free corner. It is not necessary to ask for pastries etc. separately, everything is available for free selection as part of the gluten-free buffet.

As icing on the cake, you are offered free access to the Sogno del Benaco hotel’s roof terrace, where there are 2 spacious hot tubs where you can relax from morning until 10 p.m. Including several sunbeds with umbrellas, this place is literally an oasis of calm. And that breathtaking view of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains!
If you stay here for a longer period of time, you will certainly appreciate the possibility of entering the indoor wellness center and swimming pool in a partner hotel, which is only 50 meters away.
And how far is it to the center of Limone sul Garda on foot? We took a leisurely walk across the beach and were in the center of Limone in less than 15 minutes. If you hurry, you will be here in half the time. But why rush when the local beach is so charming.
Personally, we will be happy to return here and I will look for available dates in this hotel again when looking for accommodation in Limone sul Garda. Maybe we’ll meet here sometime. Have a nice stay!
