Cala Agulla in Cala Ratjada is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. When we first traveled to Mallorca a few years ago, I chose the northeast of the island for our autumn vacation. I fell in love with the photos of Cala Agulla beach, which is perhaps the most interesting attraction for this part of Mallorca. At least it was for me. Finding quality and nice accommodation (Mar Azul Pur Estil Hotel & Spa – Adults Only) with half board at a good price was not complicated.

So I chose according to location and reviews. Even then, the Mar Azul hotel caught my eye, which was located directly in the first row from the sea, just behind the cliffs and the road that led from the center of the resort to the mentioned beach, Cala Agulla.

The hotel was still under renovation at that time, and therefore the price offered for October dates was more than favorable. I didn’t hesitate, and a few days later we were already enjoying the well-known hospitality of the largest of the Balearic Islands. At that time, we were lucky not only with the price of air tickets (today we consider promotions to Mallorca as a matter of course), with nice accommodation, but also with favorable sunny weather, which is not so common for October dates.

The first night and day we experienced the strength of the local wind, only to wake up the next day to completely clear and windless weather. Cala Agulla beach was past season during our visit, but this did not change its beauty, on the contrary! The great weather encouraged not only long walks, but also still swimming in the heated sea.
Once you walk to the end of this stunning beach, you will discover other small coves hidden among the cliffs. One of them is even preferred as a nudist beach, and since it was the most beautiful beach we saw during our stay in Mallorca, we went naked too.

For those of you who are going on vacation to the island of Mallorca in the coming weeks, I have this hotel as an exclusive tip where you can stay in style. However, I will disappoint families with children, as the hotel is in the Adults Only program, i.e. only for adults. It underwent a complete renovation in 2017, and because I can compare, I am happy to evaluate that the transformation is more than successful.

During your stay, you can also choose a delicious half board and you have two outdoor pools to use, one of which is newly infinity with a direct view of the sea. Of course, there is also a wellness – fitness center and you can also look forward to outdoor jacuzzis, which can be easily separated by curtains to create privacy. Is that still not enough for you? In that case, book a Junior Suite room with its own jacuzzi directly in the room.
