While some visitors use the lake as a starting point for high-altitude hikes, others head for the natural attractions in the valley. The depth is around 45 meters. It&#8217;s a so-called flow-through lake. At its head, the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Savica<\/span><\/span> River flows into it, while the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Sava Bohinjka<\/span><\/span> flows out on the opposite side. The water temperature can reach up to 22\u00b0C, which is above average for a mountain lake. A big advantage is the undeveloped shores, which make it possible to find a spot to enter the water almost anywhere. The boat departs from the pier by the stone bridge and heads towards the Zlatorog campsite; you can choose a round trip or return on foot along the lake.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Lake_Bohinj_%E2%80%93_circular_trail\"><\/span>3. Lake Bohinj &#8211; circular trail<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>You can comfortably walk around <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Lake Bohinj<\/span><\/span> on a roughly 12 km long trail. If you want to shorten the route and see only the best parts, I think the section that runs along the north shore and measures about 8 km is enough.
