Take a boat to the island with the church, or go for a walk on the circular trail. Hike up to one of the viewpoints and enjoy the great services. Bled is located about 50 km northwest of Ljubljana. You&#8217;ll find a few great hotels here, you can go mountain hiking on Vogel, or just relax by the lake.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Lake Bohinj<\/span><\/span> lies in the heart of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Triglav National Park<\/span><\/span> and, as I already wrote, feels significantly calmer than the more famous Bled. It is the largest natural lake in Slovenia, formed by glacial activity, and has maintained very clean water to this day without significant development on its shores.<\/p>\n<p>The liveliest area is the one with the stone bridge and the Church of St. John the Baptist, where an iconic view of the lake and surrounding mountains awaits you. The loop around the lake is roughly 12 kilometers long and alternates between forest sections and open views of the Julian Alps.
