A big part of that was definitely the beautiful sunny weather, the proximity to the sea, and of course, the scent of orange trees. However, the evening promenades and the views from the castle high above the coast also have a great atmosphere. At first glance, it might seem mainly like a gateway to the Costa Blanca, where many travelers only fly to reach other resorts.   <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"403\">But I recommend staying a day or two longer, and you&#8217;ll see that Alicante has more to offer. I&#8217;ve selected accommodation in Alicante for you in hotels that personally thrilled me and were on my shortlist. In the end, I chose <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/searchresults.en.html?city=-370210&#038;aid=347511&#038;no_rooms=1&#038;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a stay at Melia Alicante, right by the harbor<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, where a nice discount popped up for me at the last minute.  <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hotel_Almirante\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/es\/alimrante.en.html?aid=347511&#038;no_rooms=1&#038;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Hotel Almirante<\/strong><\/a><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dovolenkarka.cz\/en\/alicante-hotels-right-by-the-coast\/obrazek-137-2\/\">The hotel is located right by <strong data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"708\">Playa de San Juan<\/strong>; for me, it&#8217;s one of the best choices outside the busy center and has a great beach vibe. I recommend booking rooms that explicitly state they have a sea view. You&#8217;ll have views of Santa B\u00e1rbara Castle and the sea from here. You can also look forward to an outdoor pool.
