A big advantage is also the easy orientation. Most of the runs spread out from the wide summit part of the mountain towards Valdaora, Brunico, San Vigilio, and Piculin. Our favorite cable cars, Olang 1 and Olang 2, are only about 50 meters from the hotel, and in winter, it&#8217;s possible to ski right back to the accommodation. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and a great breakfast. It is approximately 700\u2013800 meters from the main Kronplatz lifts, and the hotel offers a free shuttle. It has excellent ratings, and you can look forward to pools, saunas, and breakfast. A big plus for the 2026\/27 winter is also the new 1.5 km long blue run, Dolomiti, which according to the operator is designed specifically for beginners and relaxed skiing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-19404\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dovolenkarka.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/nove-347-1200x630.jpg\" alt=\"Winter holiday in the Dolomites\" width=\"667\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re staying in our favorite village of Valdaora, the Kids Area Panorama is also interesting, with three magic carpets, a children&#8217;s ski slope, tubing, and sledding. Another advantage of Kronplatz is the large selection of ski schools. There are reportedly over 200 instructors working in the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-19407\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dovolenkarka.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/nove-631-1200x630.jpg\" alt=\"Kronplatz skiing with kids\" width=\"667\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Best_slopes_for_intermediates_%E2%80%93_Kronplatz_skiing\"><\/span>Best slopes for intermediates &#8211; Kronplatz skiing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are an intermediate skier, then I would recommend Kronplatz to you the most. Long red runs lead from the summit into several valleys, so you can switch between differently oriented slopes during a single day.<\/p>\n<p>The Ried slope is worth a try, measuring approximately 7 km and covering a vertical drop of 1,355 meters. Gassl towards Valdaora or Seewiese are also very nice. New for 2026\/27 is the extended red run Lumen, which now has 2.7 km and a vertical drop of 775 meters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-19409\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dovolenkarka.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/nove-312-1200x630.jpg\" alt=\"Kronplatz skiing\" width=\"667\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Black_Five_Kronplatz_will_please_even_demanding_skiers\"><\/span>Black Five: Kronplatz will please even demanding skiers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for black runs, Kronplatz skiing is definitely not just for families with children. The biggest challenge is the so-called Black Five \u2013 the quintet of Sylvester, Herrnegg, Pre da Peres, Erta, and Piculin. Personally, we don&#8217;t go on black runs, and out of curiosity, I once skied only the Sylvester run with great caution. However, if you seek them out, I believe you&#8217;ll be thrilled at Kronplatz.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Interesting facts: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The longest are Herrnegg at 5.1 km and Sylvester at nearly five kilometers. On the summit stands the Messner Mountain Museum Corones, dedicated to mountaineering and designed by architect Zaha Hadid. From Valdaora, it&#8217;s about 15 minutes by car to <strong>Anterselva &#8211; Antholz,<\/strong> where there are tracks for both classic and skating, and a well-known biathlon arena.
