Getting there and parking

The resort lies on the northeastern coast of Sardinia, near the village of Trinità d’Agultu e Vignola. This corner of the island is not yet as affected by mass tourism as, for example, Stintino and La Pelosa beach, which makes it an ideal place for those who want to discover the authentic beauty of Sardinia. In June, we had no problem finding a free cove that we had all to ourselves.

As for parking, if you’re just heading here for a day trip, I recommend arriving early enough to find a parking spot, as there aren’t many. Personally, we parked for free at the hotel where we stayed for 4 days.

Beaches and coastal paths / Sardinia – Costa Paradiso

This heavenly coast boasts several stunning beaches that attract visitors with their fine sand and turquoise blue sea. One of the most popular beaches is Li Cossi, surrounded by high cliffs and great snorkeling opportunities. It’s no wonder this beach ranks among the most beautiful in the entire area.

Although the beach isn’t right by the parking lot and you have to walk to it along a kilometer-long path with stairs, climbs, and descents around the rocks, we were surprised by how many tourists were there even in June.

Costa Paradiso - Li Cossi

For nature lovers and adventure seekers, Costa Paradiso is a paradise. The Le Tinnari nature reserve offers hiking trails with breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. Explore the picturesque coves and rock formations that create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Personally, we had a paddleboard with us and took some paths by sea and others on foot along the coast. For example, we reached Tinnari beach on a paddleboard during beautiful weather and a calm sea.

Porto L`eccio:

This beach is known for its calm environment, even in high season. Sand and pebbles form a charming coastline, while the surrounding vegetation adds natural beauty to the beach. It’s also a great place for snorkeling and observing marine life. It’s not exactly easy to get to, which is why it’s usually not as crowded as Li Cossi. It’s located about halfway along the path from Costa Paradiso to Tinnari Beach.

Cala Rossa:

This small cove is located near Costa Paradiso and offers a unique mix of white sand and red rocks. Cala Rossa is ideal for those who want to explore the underwater world, as the water here is usually very clear. Costa Paradiso - Sardinia

In addition to a beautiful room with a terrace and a view of the pool and the rocky coast, we enjoyed excellent buffet breakfasts and dinners, which were served according to the meal chosen a day in advance. I happily recommend this hotel for my fellow travelers on a gluten-free diet as well. For dinner, there was never a problem choosing a gluten-free meal from the menu.

Hotel Costa Paradiso – our gluten-free breakfast

Sardinian cuisine is rich in flavors and aromas, and Costa Paradiso is no exception. In the local restaurant, you can enjoy fresh fish, seafood, delicious local cheeses, and traditional Italian pasta. Don’t forget to also taste the local wines at a good price, which will complement your gastronomic vacation.

Our gluten-free dinner at Hotel Costa Paradiso

At the reception, they always advised us on which food was suitable to choose. These included pasta, risotto, or grilled fish and various salads. The buffet breakfasts were also perfect; I just had to tell the waiter about the gluten-free diet, and he brought me and my sister two full plates of individually wrapped treats. From bread to sweet buns.

It’s worth mentioning that you can go to the hotel restaurant for a meal even if you’re staying in one of the nearby apartments or villas. However, in high season, I recommend booking a table in advance. Already in June, the restaurant was full from lunch until late evening. In addition to classic dishes, you can also enjoy traditional pizza here.
