8 best seaside accommodations in Slovenia for a summer vacation
Planning a summer road trip? I have a list of the eight best seaside accommodations in Slovenia for you, which, in my opinion, will be easier on your wallet compared to other summer destinations. We return to Slovenia regularly, and in recent years we have especially grown fond of the area from Izola to Portorož, where the most beautiful beaches are located.

- Great location on the edge of Portorož, right by the coastal path to Piran
- A short walk from the Portorož city beaches

- A great resort on a hill above Izola with breathtaking views of the sea and the town
- Ideal for families with children – there is a small water park on site
- Transport to local beaches is available in the summer
- Beautiful view from the restaurant terrace

4. Hotel Histrion 4* / Seaside accommodation in Slovenia
- A luxury hotel next to Vile Park Premium
- I recommend trying the half-board; the breakfasts are very rich, and a gluten-free diet is no problem
- Beautiful rooms with sea or harbor views
- Indoor and outdoor saltwater pools

5. Bioenergy Resort Salinera Hotel / Seaside accommodation in Slovenia
- A quiet hotel in a pleasant location in Strunjan Park and close to the beach
- Indoor and outdoor pools
- Half-board is also worth it

I consider the town of Koper to be busier, as it is also a strategic port in Slovenia. Koper is also known for its diverse markets and food festivals held right on the coast.
Personally, I was also thrilled by Ankaran, where you can choose from several types of accommodation within one resort, including booking a spot for your motorhome or caravan.

- A modern boutique hotel near the old town of Koper
- Within walking distance of the harbor and the coast with the city beach (approx. 20 min walk)

8. Art Hotel Tartini Piran
- A historic hotel right on the square, by the Piran harbor
- A great place to start walks through the town and along the coast
- I recommend trying the Pinsa; the restaurant is right in the hotel on the other side – they even have a gluten-free version!
